RULE 8- FINAL TERMINAL DELAY
(a) Final Delay: In freight service final terminal time shall be computed from the time the engine reaches designated switch and paid for the full delay at the end of the trip on the minute basis at one-eighth of the daily rate per hour when no overtime accrues to time of release.
If crew is on overtime at the time engine reaches final designated switch, overtime will be continuous until the crew is finally released. If not on overtime when engine reaches the designated switch, but overtime period commences before final release, final time up to the period when overtime commences will be allowed at one-eighth of the daily rate per hour and time thereafter at the overtime rate. Trains stopped short of designated arriving switch, but within final terminal limits, because of yard conditions or by a preceding train, will report the time when stopped as the time of arrival at designated switch.
NOTE:See Appendix No. 1 for agreement defining and illustrating the term "yard conditions" as used in this rule and method of computing final terminal delay time payments.
(b) When a tour of duty is composed of a series of trips, final terminal time will be computed on only the last trip of tour of duty.
