• When Carrier moved the Short Pool (RT96) from the on-duty location of Salt Lake (UZ029) to Ogden (UY993) CMS should have added an extra board in Ogden (UY993) to protect the service and have picked up enough positions to protect all service in the Short Pool.

• Claim is for a basic day for CMS Mishandling.

   

   

  Claiming a 130 mile basic day penalty account CMS Mishandling the Salt Lake Extra Board (UZ029 XC80) to cover vacancies on the Ogden-SLC Short Pool (UY993 RT97). The Carrier moved the Short Pool from Salt Lake (UZ029 RT96) to Ogden (UY993 RT97) on November 26, 2018. The Carrier failed to establish a new Extra Board to protect this new service in Ogden on the same date as the pool was established.

  The new Extra Board in Ogden should be protecting Short Pool Service between Ogden and SLC had the Carrier established the new Extra Board in a prompt fashion. However the Carrier failed to establish a new Extra Board and I was called to protect a vacancy on the Short Pool (UY993 RT97) from the Salt Lake Extra Board (UZ029 XC60). Claim 130 mile basic day penalty account working the (JOB ID) on (DATE) with (ENGINEER NAME). Crew was called on-duty at (TIME) and tied-up at (TIME).
